Year started at Creative School: 2002

Sneak peek about me: I was born and raised in Dallas. My husband, Frank, and I married in 2002 and we have two children, Mia and Michael. I’m an SMU Mustang and a lover of art, literature, and history. I LOVE teaching preschool and am passionate about helping little humans thrive in a nurturing environment!

Words to live by: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” - Mahatma Gandhi

Who has inspired you in your life? My grandmother: A strong Southern woman who loved everyone and always welcomed them into her home. She could feed an army!

Favorite children’s book: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein

One goal in my classroom this year… is to emphasize empathy towards others.

The Creative School is a non-profit school and a ministry of  Walnut Hill United Methodist Church. Educating children in north Dallas for over 60 years, we offer programs for children from 20 months of age through Prekindergarden 4s. We operate on a 9 month calendar, September – May.

Our morning preschool hours are 9 A.M.  – 12 noon with an optional extended program until 2 pm. We provide a secure and Christian environment that encourages children to learn and grow.

Our preschool curriculum is developmentally appropriate and addresses all areas of early childhood development including: literacy, math, science, art and fine motor. Enrichment classes include Music and Movement, Spanish, and Library. Our older children also attend a weekly chapel service.
