Thank you to everyone who purchased pansies in our Fall Pansy Sale fundraiser! Due to your generosity, the school earned $643. The pansies were beautiful and will surely make all of our yards look prettier this fall! Special thanks to the Fundraising Co-Chairs, Kim Askew and Page McAnear for coordinating the Pansy Sale. Big thanks to Abbey Adcox and Marcy Vinyard for coordinating a spectacular Fall Fling! The event was such a success - and we loved the great turnout by our Creative School families. Thanks also to their committee chairs: Dianne Sanchez and Marianne Gregory (ticket sales), Malenie Martin (decorations), Elizabeth Garrison (food), Erika Marina (drinks), Nancy Jackson (bounce house and petting zoo), Selina Garza (face painting) and Jay Lambert and Granville McAnear (Do Dads) and to everyone else who volunteered! Three Cheers for Fall Fling 2008!

NOVEMBER 5TH, 2008

We had a GREAT turnout at this morning’s meeting! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen our sowing room so full! Here are some of the highlights from our meeting:
Box Tops for education has already made $270 this year! Last year we made $300 for the entire year so we are well on our way to beating last year’s total.
We decided that fund raisers this year will go towards the purchase of new benches for the playground. The church offered to pay half of this cost.
Our pansy sale made $641. Thanks to all who supported this great fund raiser! The pansies are beautiful!
Pam Douce announced that this will be her last year at Creative School. She and her husband bought a house in Ohio and plan to move there in the spring. The Steering Committee is beginning a search for a new director. If you or someone you know would be interested in applying for the position, please contact Lisa Buck.
Mrs. Keila, the young 2s teacher will be leaving the school to care for her mother. Jacqueline McKay has been helping in the young 2s since the start of the school year and will be her replacement. Mrs. Keila will continue to sub at Creative School so she will still be a part o f our children’s lives.
Our school’s big fund raiser, Breakfast with Santa, will be held on Saturday, December 13th. This year’s theme is “Welcome to the North Pole”. Basket donations will begin November 17th. Tickets will be on sale Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving break and Monday - Wednesday after Thanksgiving Break. Please come into the school to purchase your tickets. They will not be sold at the door the day of the event.
We are looking for prizes for the children’s activities, if you have anything you would like to donate please let us know. Also, we are hoping to find a disco ball to use for decorations the day of BWS. If you have one we could borrow, please email Aly Lambert at truetexain@aol.com or Erika Marina at Erika1077@aol.com
